House of Durin

The Durin family is a prominent line of kings found in J.R.R Tolkien's epic fantasy novel, The Lord of the Rings. Durin I was the first of the line, and was the first of the seven Fathers of the Dwarves. He was said to be the oldest and wisest of the seven. Durin's sons, Thorin and Frerin, were the two last of the seven Fathers. Thorin was the leader of the Company of Dwarves in their quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from Smaug the Dragon. Frerin, on the other hand, was killed by the dragon, making Thorin the last of the Durin line. The Durin family is a key part of Tolkien's world and their legacy lives on in the hearts of many. They are an example of strength, courage, and loyalty, and their story will continue to be remembered for generations to come.
